Today, I had the privilege of co-designing and co-facilitating a workshop at the National Dropout Prevention Center/Network Conference with four Corbett Junior High School students (Shertz, TX).

The four students shared their school and community experiences with conference participants encouraging them to design and implement high-quality student engagement practices focusing on ensure each student is engaged.

As you can imagine the students inspired by sharing their experiences and the impacts it had on each of them, their fellow students, their teachers and the school’s climate.

Below is a link to the workshop PowerPoint providing you the opportunity to examine their experiences, student engagement strategies and school climate characteristics.  While you will not hear their voices I believe you can find strategies and frameworks helpful to advance a student engagement agenda in your school and community.
